Senior Full-Stack Engineer

1X’s mission is to create an abundant supply of physical labor through safe, intelligent androids that work alongside humans. Since 2014, we’ve designed our products with large-scale manufacturing in mind, so we can produce androids at a high enough volume to meet the world’s labor demand.
Our wheeled Android EVE, is engineered to work with you, from guarding to logistics, and our bipedal model, NEO, is designed to become a household android with broad deployment in various applications. Our products will understand both natural language and physical space, so they can complete useful tasks in any environment.

Responsibilities

• Take on varied roles or tasks as needed, demonstrating a can-do attitude, especially in high-demand situations.
• Help with the ongoing maintenance, updates, and support for the operating system used within our hardware products.
• Take the lead in managing, optimizing, and securing our Terraform and Ansible-based cloud infrastructure.
• Set up, monitor, and manage CI/CD pipelines and runners to ensure seamless code integration and deployment.
• Help development teams for timely code releases, ensuring that every release adheres to quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have’s

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages: C/C++/Python/Java/Rust.
• Experience with Linux deployed in hardware products (e.g., IoT, robots, drones, automotive).
• Experience with product development in the context of release mechanisms, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Nice-To-Haves:

• Experience working with Bitbake and Yocto and supporting developer workflows.
• Experience with setting up CI pipelines and runners, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with a wide range of networking protocols, topologies, and architectures and their secure implementation.
• Familiarity with edge computing and its applications in IoT or other hardware products.
